The 5^th International Fisheries Symposium 2015 was successfully held at Pearl Continental, Lahore on 24-25 February, 2015 organized by the Department of Fisheries Punjab and Pakistan Fisheries Society. The Symposium was graced by delegates from FAO and NACA.  Morocco & China also participated in this Symposium.

The event was a huge success wherein around 114 abstracts were received & more than 50 papers were presented by scientists from various Institutes & Universities all over the country. The success of the Symposium is attributed to the sole master mind behind the organization of the event i.e. Dr. Muhammad Ayub, Director General Fisheries Punjab & President, Pakistan Fisheries Society, an eminent Fisheries Scientist having wide experience of Fisheries Management nationally and internationally as he had served as Director INFO FISH w.e.f 2010 to 2013. Under his pragmatic skills, his team worked arduously because of his astute guidance.
